Executive Assistant/Operations Manager
Lin L. Lew is an Executive Assistant and Operations Manager at Goldfinch Partners LLC. Lin has 25 years of experience in executive administration with multilingual skills. Prior to joining Goldfinch, Lin worked at Starbucks (Seattle) and Nike (China) for approximately 15 years. Lin graduated from Shanghai Normal University with a BA degree in Business Administration and English Education.

Jody Visser is a Partner at Goldfinch Partners LLC. While working with Goldfinch, Jody is currently in the role of Chief Transformation Officer of Convera, where she is responsible for supporting Convera’s business to become the world’s leading B2B payments company.
Prior to joining Goldfinch and Convera, Jody was a Managing Director and Partner at The Bosting Consulting Group (BCG) for 20 years, where she focused on advising global payments and financial services clients across a wide variety of topics.
In particular she focused on the areas of commercial payments and wealth management supporting overall business strategy, go-to-market transformation, new product development, SaaS product extensions for SMEs, big data analytics, pricing – along with cost and target operating model transformation. In addition, she also functionally support a wide range of clients with marketing effectiveness work such as: customer segmentation, global re-branding, consumer insight & segmentation, digital marketing and return on marketing investment (ROMI).
Jody lives in New York City and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors in Economics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Bill has more than twenty years of experience as an investor and operator. Prior to co-founding Goldfinch, Bill was SVP of Corporate and Business Development at Starbucks where he led over 40 transactions including more than $11 billion of acquisitions, divestitures and investments along with numerous commercial partnerships. Prior to Starbucks, Bill was a senior investment professional at Vulcan Capital, where his portfolio included DreamWorks, Oxygen Media, and TowerCo. Bill began his career at Gleacher & Co where he focused on advisory and investment work in the CPG, quick service restaurant and TMT sectors. Bill holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA with high honors from Colgate University.
Bill currently serves on the boards of Catalant Technologies, Vesta and Convera.
Principal
Will has over 15 years of experience as an advisor, investor and operator. Prior to joining Goldfinch in November 2021, Will served as a Director of Corporate Development and Business Alliances at Starbucks Coffee Company since 2016. At Starbucks, Will played a leading role in the global corporate and business development function encompassing company-wide business development, investment and mergers and acquisition activities.
Prior to joining Starbucks, Will was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan focused on advisory work and capital raises for technology, media and telecommunications clients. Will began his career at Moody’s Investors Service. Will holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Amherst College.
Will currently serves as a board observer of Vesta.
Vice President
Bianca has over 8 years of experience as an investor and operator. Prior to Goldfinch, Bianca was responsible for sourcing, diligence and execution of new investment opportunities at Dune Real Estate Partners. Before Dune, she spent time at Gap Inc. in Corporate Strategy and Development, where she led acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic investment projects across the portfolio of brands and corporate capabilities. Her other prior experiences include Oaktree Capital, where she served as an investment professional focused on real estate equity and debt, and Morgan Stanley, where she began her career as an Analyst. She received an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from the University of California, Berkeley.
Senior Associate
Jeremy has over five years of experience across private equity investing, corporate development and investment banking. Prior to Goldfinch, Jeremy was an Associate on the Corporate Development team at Starbucks where he worked on acquisitions and investments in the retail, CPG and technology sectors. Prior to Starbucks, Jeremy was an Investment Banking Analyst with Morgan Stanley in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Western Region Coverage groups in Los Angeles. Jeremy holds a BS in Business Administration with highest honors from the University of Southern California.
Senior Associate
Billy has over five years of experience across private equity investing, corporate development and investment banking. Prior to Goldfinch, Billy was a Corporate Development Manager at F5, where he focused on acquisitions in the cybersecurity and software sectors. Prior to joining F5, Billy was a Senior Associate on the Corporate Development team at Starbucks. Previously, Billy was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Global Industrials Group at UBS. Billy holds a BBA in Finance, with High Distinction, from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Sean has over twenty years of experience investing, advising, operating, and building companies focused on digital transformation. Prior to Goldfinch, Sean was Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of BCG Digital Ventures, where he oversaw investments globally into 75+ ventures. Prior to BCG DV, he was SVP of E-commerce, Marketing, and Strategy at the Sports Authority where he helped engineer a turnaround that leveraged digital marketing and e-commerce to drive revenue growth. Previously, he was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company where he advised Retail, TMT, and Private Equity clients. Sean holds a BA from Whitman College in Economics & Music.
Sean currently serves on the boards of Bakkt, Vesta and Convera.
CFO
Brett has over 24 years of experience in investment management finance and operations. Prior to Goldfinch, Brett was CFO of Maveron, a leading venture capital fund based in Seattle. He began his career as an auditor at PWC serving large and small venture capital, leveraged buyout, and fund-of-fund clients. Brett holds a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting & Finance from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. He also holds a CPA license in the state of Washington.
Partner & General Counsel
Matt has more than 25 years of experience as an M&A lawyer and law firm leader. Prior to joining Goldfinch in November 2021, Matt was US Managing Partner and Co-Head of Global M&A at Freshfields, where he led more than $110 billion of M&A transactions for corporate and financial sponsor clients (including Goldfinch) across all major industry verticals. Prior to Freshfields, Matt was an attorney with Brobeck in NY, and Willkie Farr, in NY and London, where his practice focused on M&A transactions for venture capital and private equity sponsors. Matt began his career at Birinyi Associates, the investment advisor, where he focused on US and international equity markets.
Matt received his JD, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School, and a BA from Emory University.
